This policy explains how Climblink Builders Sdn Bhd ("Climblink", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through climblink.help and in the course of providing renovation, maintenance and construction services. We process personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.
1. Data we collect
When you submit our enquiry form, call us, or engage our services, we may collect: your name, phone number, email address, property address or general location, and the description of the works you are asking about. During a project we may additionally hold site photographs, floor plans, approval documents and payment records connected to your contract.
Our website itself collects only limited technical data (see our Cookie Policy). We do not collect data from visitors who simply browse.
2. Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange site visits;
- To prepare quotations, contracts and authority submissions on your behalf;
- To coordinate works, warranties and after-care for your project;
- To maintain accounting records required by Malaysian law.
We do not use your data for automated profiling, and we do not send marketing messages unless you have expressly asked to receive them.
3. Who sees your data
Within Climblink, access is limited to staff who need it for your project. We share data with third parties only where the project requires it — for example, a submitting person preparing council drawings, a condominium management office processing a renovation application, or our insurers in the event of a claim. Each receives only what their role requires. We never sell personal data.
4. How long we keep it
Enquiry records that do not become projects are deleted within twenty-four months. Project records, including warranty documentation, are retained for seven years after handover to honour warranty obligations and statutory record-keeping requirements, then securely destroyed.
5. Security
Records are stored on access-controlled systems. Paper documents are kept at our registered office and shredded at end of retention. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold.
6. Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections, or withdraw consent to further processing (which may affect our ability to deliver ongoing services). Write to [email protected] or to our registered address: No. 23-1, Jalan PJU 5/12, Kota Damansara, 47810 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. We respond within twenty-one days.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Material changes affecting active clients will be notified directly.
